Profile

Jessica is an architect, educator, and sustainability specialist focused on making high-performing, beautiful spaces accessible to all. Her roles include researching the impacts of built work, consulting projects and firms on sustainable design goals, and teaching strategies and tools to reduce building energy, water, and carbon use.

As a licensed architect, she designs living-centered environments that enhance health and wellbeing and elevate quality of life. She is currently focused on the intersections of sustainability and equity in community-based work and affordable housing. She aims to improve the impact that housing has on us and our environment by investigating and applying research-based approaches like trauma-informed design to the design process.

Her teaching centers on empowering students to envision a resilient, restorative, and regenerative future. Jessica teaches building technology coursework through the lens of equity and integrates examples from her professional experience to connect academic work to the profession.
