Areas of Expertise

Jeremy has worked alongside a variety of designers, robots, and craftsmen in studios, fabrication shops, and construction sites across the US. As a fabricator he has worked with robotics pioneer Machineous and frequently collaborates with LA based design/build practice Maneuverworks. As a designer he has experience on a range of project scales and types notably with Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects and Gensler SF.

This wide range of experience has inspired him with more questions than answers, and a desire to connect these worlds of design and construction in ways that liberate imagination.  This led to a residency with the Autodesk Pier 9 workshop, beginning a trajectory of research and speculation focused on interpretations of joinery and new notions of craft and hybrid expertise between design, robotics, and construction -  an expertise that allows for fluid translation between ideas and tools, and new relationships between concepts and objects.

In addition to teaching he is currently practicing as a designer with small projects in southern and northern California, and (conceptually) large scale speculative work addressing new notions of craft, value, and imagination.
