Co-op/Internship Description

 PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
      Employees must exhibit initiative, engagement and purpose in
      their project work and in the profession.
      Co-Op participants must commit to a minimum employment of 3
      consistent days per week for at least 8 weeks, full-time
      preferred.

      RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CAW CO-OP PARTICIPANT:
      Physical modeling using digital and basic analog fabrication
      tools with a high level of craft for both internal working models
      and presentation models
      Computer 3d modeling, SketchUp and Rhino
      Renderings using VRay and the Adobe Suite
      Product research and material palette development
      Assist team members with field observations
      Assist office staff with tasks necessary to complete the work in
      a timely manner, including errands, collating, and administrative
      tasks, among others
      Conceive of 3-d space and how it is documented through plans,
      elevations and sections as well as 3-d renders
      Opportunities may be available to assist further on projects when
      needed, based on BIM/CAD experience

      THE SUCCESSFUL TEAM MEMBER MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
      Minimum of 2 years completed in an architectural program from an
      accredited University
      Must take initiative and think independently
      Must manage time effectively and efficiently with particular
      attention to deadlines and workflow
      Effectively communicate with team members
      Possess strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills
      Keep ears open to activity around the office, and absorption of
      learning opportunities within their projects and also ongoing
      work around them
      Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive and
      effective team environment
      Enrollment in the AXP process and active logging of internship
      hours are encouraged
