Job Description
THE COMPANY:
Hunter Smith Architecture is a growing company that was formed
from an established Architecture Firm with 35 years of producing noteworthy architecture throughout the Central Coast. We are committed to continuing this legacy of unique designs and practical solutions for our clients. We work on residential and commercial projects with varying scopes of work: ground-up construction, adaptive reuse, historical preservation, and remodel/tenant improvement. THE POSITION:
The Architectural Designer role involves working independently on
multiple projects in collaboration with a fast-paced and creative team. With direction from the Principal Architect, you will play a meaningful role in developing each phase of your assigned projects. We pride ourselves on our collaboration; you will work directly with clients, contractors, consultants and governing agencies to bring the project to life.
Job Requirements
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- BArch, MArch, or equivalent degree from an accredited U.S. Architecture School
- Some architectural office experience, including the production of construction drawings and details
- Experience with Vectorworks
- Self-motivated, organized, and value attention to detail
- Ability to work together with our team and consultants to deliver value for our clients
- Responsive and dependable to meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be available to work in the office and visit job sites throughout San Luis Obispo County
